Role description - chapter president

Key responsibilities:

  • Leads and maintains a strong chapter board through work with the chapter executive committee, regional leadership and HBA Central with an eye to efficiency, effectiveness and the culture of the board they want to cultivate
  • Supports and coaches other board leaders in their roles, ensuring new leaders have had effective on-boarding and training,in support of their professional development and potential succession planning
  • Oversees the creation of strategic and annual chapter plans, establishing key priorities in line with regional plans and chapter growth initiatives
  • Acts as the primary chapter liaison with the Corporate Relations COE president for alignment on company engagement, outreach strategies and chapter needs fulfillment
  • Cultivates relationships with local healthcare organizations, attends events and networks in support of regional and chapter goals
