The Affinity Group Deputy Chair serves as second-in-command to the Global Affinity Chair and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of strategic priorities, assisting with group operations and strategic planning.
The deputy chair is internally and strategically focused, working to prioritize and implement group priorities into actions and oversee other group leaders. Oversees a robust global/virtual team to execute on the strategic plan and initiatives, ensuring all leadership roles are filled, volunteers are satisfied and engaged.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interviewing and onboarding new leadeship team members
- Helps to recruit for open volunteer roles
- Ensures smooth transition when volunteer roles change
- Management of year long project plan, ensuring timely execution of strategic priorities
- Fills in for the Global AG Chair on Global AG Committee meetings, as needed
- Maintains best practices for the AG leadership team
Time commitment: ~5-10 hours per month
